Hows about a chat box at the bottom of the forum for just random chatting?
Let me know hun!! Be great to cut the convo out of the threads and chat to eachother in the box!!

Be great to cut the convo out of the threads and chat to eachother in the box!! xx Chat boxes are normally a good idea but it tends to cut back on posting and double the amount of work for the moderators. If i was to add something similar I would add a chat room for the users and again bare in mind I would need someone to monitor the room a lot of the time. But its down to the members to decide on whether they would want such a thing. |

I personally wouldn't, we already have specific people labelling their email addresses etc in the MSN post, so if they want to chitchat they can do it privately.

True...as long as the posts dont go off on tangents when theres more members there shouldn't be a problem. It's usually a quick way to get any questions answered or get any general help as well as chatting. Just thinking about when the forum gets more popular thats all...you cant have ever single member of a busy forum on your msn list (tried it, doesnt work lol)  |

I agree that you couldn't have everyone on your msn list, but I still stand opposed to the chatbox idea. It would deffo take the focus from the reptiles and I like this forum as it is! It's probably the most informative reptile forum I've been on and I wouldn't want to cheapen it.
