I have over 40 snakes, 20 different species plus 3 monitors one desert iggy, quite a few inverts t's and scorps. the heating/lighting bill is quite horrific but as I have built the room with this in mind it is well insulated and much cheaper than running loads of individual vivs dotted around the house. the room is also air conditioned and escape proof !

wow a lot of thought must have gone into that and I'm sure it's paid off. Do you breed them commercially or just for fun? if at all. How does your iggy handle? and do you have a favourite? I'm sure there's one or two that you love to spend time with

I like to think that it is self funding in as much as any successful breeding helps pay the up keep of my collection (that's what the wife thinks anyway). I do breed, but only for interest and if I make a few bucks then that's great. I mostly breed Boids but do like to dabble with some of the more difficult species and I also like to produce hybrids (for my sins). phase two is allready on the table, but I also have a few birds and exotic mammals so space is some what limited.

Bet you wouldn't trade it for the world though, would you? You're a lucky man to have so many pets.
