Name MELLER’S CHAMELEON
Latin Chamaeleo melleri
Native To Tanzania
Size 18-24 inches
Diet small crickets, young roaches, and moth larvae
Reproduction 40 - 50 eggs
Description Healthy adult colour is typically alternating stripes over a background colour that covers the head and limbs. Background colour may be leaf green or blue-green, with yellow stripes. Large adult chameleons, of almost any species, tend to have heavy parasite loads, and this, combined with the stress of importation, takes a heavy toll on their bodies. Meller's Chameleons, however, seem to be more susceptible to these problems than other species.
