A waterfall may look nice to you (ugh) but the gecko wont care either way but it must be cleaned and disinfected weekly at a minimum because it can and will harbour nasty bacteria. Would you like a guggley waterfall a foot or so from your ear 24/7 ? I know i certainly wouldnt. Almost all of these types of gadgets are to catch the keeper rather than do the reptile any good, I avoid them like a kick in the head

I do clean the waterfall, lol. thought it might help with humidity also. I read that some snakes and lizards like waterfalls. Luckily mine dosn't leak. But i shall not put it in with lizards coz of the cricket thing. And the waterfall isnt noisey at all.

I gotta say sorry to ya jen for the way i replied about the waterfall lol, it's just i had a total disaster with my waterfall and ended up hating the thing but what i said about the crickets is true they get in were the cable goes in to the pump and for some bleeding reason they don't get back out and die in there and then make the water very stinky in a matter of hours, maybe they have some use somewere but i can't see were as yet.... Jen, I agree with Peter completely and anyway with Cresties you just need to mist their terra's twice daily. They drink the water by licking the leaves on the plants - or the side of the viv if you have done it in a hurry like i do! lol

lol I've only just read this thread so sorry I couldn't have given my advice earlier. I do agree with everyone, waterfalls are just there to look pretty, but for a lot more work than a more natural looking enclosure. Try selling it in the classified section

Just nip down your local shop and get a spray bottle. Or you can do what I did and get a pressurised spray bottle that you can configure to mist or jet (good for soaking substrate and filling water bowls)

I've used the pressurised bottle and IMHO I prefer my lil spray one lol. It is my preference and I know Paul likes the pressurised one. So either would do to help spray/mist the cage.
