oooo that was a little harsh are they really that rare to come by then? I must admit they do look very impressive. approx what size tank did you have to keep him in?

Hard to come by A female type 'A' Grand terre Leachianus is as rare as flying pink elephants, and to get one on it own, I think is going to be the same if you was to see Jesus riding the pink flying elephant A compatable PAIR of of leachianus normally sell for around £1200 -£1500 on the reptile classifieds, more in a shop. He was in a large exo-terra when the pic was taken as I had just sold his tank which was 30in x 24in x 36in (L x W x H)

No they are not endangered as such, it is just that it can take up to 5 years before they are ready to breed (live until they are in their 40's or longer) and they need to be a compatable pair, some just dont get on no matter what you try.

Well that could make it a bit better than, even if you did get the female she might not have liked your male. I think it's really interesting that they can pick and choose their mates, as far as I'm aware leopard geckos and the like just do it with any other sex when they can. Makes it easier really.
