Some very nice snakes there bud . I've always loved the pueblans. I think their patterns are so much nice than the hondurans and sinaloans.

Love the Pueblan. He'll be the size and thickness of a pencil. My first snake was a Pueblan. He would have been about the same size as yours. He's two years old now. This is a pic of him taken last summer. He's about 30 inches long now and starting to broaden out nicely. He's grown quite a lot since this pic was taken.

thanjs guys, Yeah that pueblan was either going to be a toss up between him or a Royalbut I'd had a few Royals when I was a kid so I thought I'd have a milksnake because of it's colours. He truly is beautiful and if he grows to look like yours Fionak then I'm lucky because I that is a gorgeous snake.
Animal, go and get a snake. they arn't as hard to look after after as anyone thinks... In fact, they're pretty easy once you have the initial set up sorted and you don't have to take it for walks twice a day!!!

ccfcexile been doing alot of research into snakes and hopefully later this year i'm going to get myself a royal (gotta get my cham his new viv 1st) from what i have read and the advice paul has given me royals if there feeding are a pretty good start, i actually got to hold a baby royal at the local pet centre lately and i admit i fell totally in love with the wee fella, it's just down to money for me, i have the time and space but my pockets are full of fluff at the moment lol

I know how you feel, My wife did a lot of ebaying for me to afford that Pueblan... She wasn't to pleased to find out all that hard selling got me a new snake though!!!
Royals are a great snake and in my top 5, they are very dosile and friendly but if they don't feed then it's a bugger to get them feeding again.

your milk and kingsnake are my favourite...Lampropeltis are the best group of colubrids to keep IMO

Nah, the red balck and yellow one is the Pueblan Milksnake and is only about 30cm long and as thin as a pen! I have been told they can be nippy but it tends to try and get away, it's never bitten me yet. It's just about to shed it's skin so it will be about 35cm in a week!!!
The King and the corn haven't tried to bite me either... Harmless, Why don't you get one!!!?
I thought about getting lizards at one stage but thought they were higher maintenance than snakes so didn't bother

lol every one has their favs on here I'm sure. Like I've said somewhere else, I'm more into my geckos at the moment but that's only because I've only just got into the whole reptile scene. Looking at the snakes though, I am very tempted to branch out a bit once I've done some more research. My boyfriend's also been trying to talk me into getting some form of tree frog which might happen one day. If he's a good boy

Amphibians must be high maintenance. I haven't the time for them though one day when the kids leave home I may branch out! Saying that, If someone is getting rid of their pet (that is how I got the Kingsnake) I tend to give it a free home!!! Someone has just given us a Flying Goldfish in a huge tank... There can't be much life left in the fish and the tank would be ideal for a new snake!!!
My wife has other plans (Carboot I think)!!!
I would like a lizard one day, When I was a kid my dad and I used to catch them and slowworms down by a railway track in Cardiff and we used to keep them, even breed them but that was long ago and I don't have a clue where to start. I only inherited the snake side of things!
